His Excellency the Attorney General of the Swiss Confederation delivered on 21 October 2025, two specialized lectures on cyber and economic crimes at Public Prosecution Muscat in the Airport Highlands, on the sidelines of the official visit to the Sultanate of Oman, in the presence of a number of Their Eminences the judges, representatives of relevant government agencies, and members of the Public Prosecution.
The lectures highlighted the Swiss Federal Public Prosecution, its powers, and the Swiss legal system and also addressed forms of cyber and economic crimes, mechanisms for detecting them and prosecution of offenders. The lectures also reviewed the optimal methods, the challenges and importance of bolstering international cooperation to combat such crimes.
These two lectures come within the framework of joint cooperation between the Public Prosecution of the Sultanate of Oman and the Swiss Public Prosecution in the field of exchanging experiences and best practices in combating transnational organized crime.
